It is produced by Willie Lindo for Heavy Beat Records.<\/p>\n<p>This is the veteran singer\u2019s ninth album and his first in 20 years. His previous set, <strong><em>\u2018Let\u2019s Take a Chance\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, was produced by Kufe Records.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s taken this long (between albums) because I&#8217;ve been traveling a lot between Jamaica, America and Europe and I also know in my heart that the Lord puts us where he wants us to be. So, I never forced myself to get where we are right now, it&#8217;s manifest destiny. As we say (in Jamaica), \u2018a jus suh it set\u2019,\u201d said Ambelique.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018Ain\u2019t No Love in The Heart of The City\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, a cover of the Bobby Blue Bland classic, is one of the songs from <strong><em>\u2018Blind Spot\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. It was a hit in South Florida early this year.<\/p>\n<p>Lindo, who has produced hit singles for J C Lodge, Boris Gardiner and Dennis Brown, also played guitar on the album. Robbie Shakespeare, who died in 2021, played bass.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWilly is a genius and has the ability to pull the best out of whomever he is producing, so I just remained a vessel and trusted the process without timelines, expectation or anxiety knowing that this was going to be a period of growth for me and some of my best work,\u201d said Ambelique.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Kingston, Ambelique started his recording career during the 1970s, before migrating to the United States where he has lived for over 40 years.
