\u2018Never Late\u2019 is the apt title of the self-produced six-song project which has been in the works for some time.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese songs have been recorded over the past two years. After recording, we took some time to mix and master them, and at the same time I was doing singles for other producers, so we thought this would be the right time for the release,\u201d said DJ Spiceman.<\/p>\n
\u2018Bun dem Out\u2019, \u2018No More Troubles\u2019 (featuring Jah Niceness) and \u2018User\u2019 are some of the songs on \u2018Never Late\u2019, which hears him delivering the \u201chard-hitting, spiritual social commentary\u201d that has defined his sound over the years.<\/p>\n
DJ Spiceman is from St. Ann parish in north-east Jamaica. That is where he started his career, performing on sound systems during the early 1990s, before moving to Kingston to join the Jamaica Defence Force.<\/p>\n
He was a regular at Sugar Minott\u2019s Youthman Promotions label in Kingston, where he recorded \u2018Miss Elegant\u2019, his first song. There were follow-up songs for Minott and different producers including Carl Melody and Jason Bromfield, but \u2018Never Late\u2019 is a project close to his heart.<\/p>\n
