That is what happened with \u2018<strong><em>You\u2019re Not Ready for This\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, his single with deejay Agent 13.<\/p>\n<p>Released on November 7, it evolved during a recent recording session.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt actually started to take shape one day while Agent 13 (aka Orrahjahni) was in the studio working on one of his tracks and I jokingly said to him, \u2018we should do a collab one day\u2019, and his response was basically, \u2018hell yeah!!!\u2019 So I went in my stash and found the instrumental that was titled \u2018You\u2019re Not Ready For This\u2019 which was earmarked for a love song. But when I thought about Orrahjahni\u2019s lyrical style, I decided to write some new lyrics to provocatively highlight some of the follies and idiosyncrasies we face in life,\u201d Venemus explained.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018You\u2019re Not Ready for This\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is Venemus\u2019 first released song for 2024. The Ohio-based Jamaican usually has a prolific output but \u201cdue to certain circumstances that were beyond my control\u201d, his production level dropped considerably this year.<\/p>\n<p>From St. Thomas parish in eastern Jamaica, Venemus began his music career in high school, and later cut his teeth as a musician in the Defiance Band which backed artists such as Papa San, General Trees and Lieutenant Stitchie.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, he has released several singles including \u2018Body Medicine\u2019 and \u2018Perspective\u2019. His debut album, \u2018Feevah\u2019 was released in 2017.\u00a0 As a producer, Venemus has worked with Mr. Absolute (aka Shaggy Wonder), Honorebel, Keble Drummond (former lead singer of The Cables) and Papa Beeto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An experienced artist\/musician, Venemus is aware that many songs are created at the spur of the moment.
