The Reggae North Music Awards lit up the stage this year, bringing together an exceptional gathering of talent from across the reggae and dancehall scene to celebrate the best in Canadian music. The Reggae North Music Awards kicked off with a welcome message from the Deputy Consul General of Jamaica Consul: Mrs. Younna Bailey Magalh\u00e3es, followed by \u00a0a soul-stirring moment, Canada\u2019s nomadic saxophonist Isax Injah<\/em> enchanted the crowd with a trance-like reggae instrumental performance, showing the depth and versatility of the genre.<\/p>\n

The people\u2019s artist, Steele<\/em>, captivated the crowd with his heartfelt renditions of his latest single, \u201cPick up the Pieces,\u201d and his hit \u201cShe Believes in Me.\u201d Seven-time JUNO Award nominee Ammoye<\/em> delivered an electrifying performance, showcasing the vocal talent that has made her a standout in the reggae community.<\/p>\n

Montreal\u2019s veteran reggae star Jah Cutta<\/em> brought the house down with an energetic and commanding performance, while Vancouver\u2019s dancehall sensation Tugstar<\/em> sizzled with his hit single \u201cKnock E Ball.\u201d One of the evening\u2019s standout moments was the duet between JUNO Award-winning artist Kirk Diamond<\/em> and Tiffanie Malvo<\/em> as they performed their JUNO-winning single \u201cBring it Good,\u201d sending waves of excitement through the audience.<\/p>\n

Mel C\u2019s<\/em> touching rendition of a song written by Caswell McLaughlin was a moving tribute to reggae and dancehall artists who have passed on, adding a reflective note to the night.<\/p>\n
