Jamaican singer Shenseea says her third studio album is \u201cpractically done.\u201d<\/p>\n
During an appearance on Zip 103 FM in Jamaica on Tuesday, the\u00a0\u2018Blessed\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0singer was speaking about the completion of her first-ever North American headline tour\u00a0Never Gets Late Here<\/em>, which shares its name with her sophomore album.<\/p>\n \u201cMy third album is practically done,\u201d she revealed. \u201cAsk me where I find the time but yes, the album is almost done.\u201d<\/p>\n In May this year,\u00a0\u2018<\/strong><\/em>Never Gets Late Here<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>was released via Rich Immigrants and Interscope Records and debuted at number four on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Two years prior, her first studio album,\u00a0\u2018Alpha<\/em><\/a>\u2019\u00a0<\/em>, debuted at number two on the same chart in March.<\/p>\n Although the soon-to-be 28-year-old did not divulge much information on the pending project, she spoke about the reception of her latest single,\u00a0\u2018Dating Szn\u2019<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em>\u00a0which has listeners divided over the song\u2019s lyrical content.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m learning from them, the Shenyengs [her fans], they teach me,\u201d she quipped. \u201cBut for real though, I enjoy seeing the videos of how much fun they are having, that\u2019s what I want, I want people to enjoy my music, I want them to feel alive when they listen to Shenseea, I don\u2019t want them to be crying.\u201d<\/p>\n Produced by Supa Dups,\u00a0Dating Szn<\/em>\u00a0explores a woman\u2019s indecisiveness while dating two men at once, a practice some deem out of character for women.
