Reggae artiste Lyunda wants to make a positive impact on the world with his music which is why he only records songs that carry uplifting messages.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am a Rastafarian, and I am here to make a positive change in the world with my music. I am here to teach people how to awaken their consciousness through words, sounds and power. I am here to heal and educate them with positive music,\u201d said the artiste.<\/p>\n
Lyunda is promoting his new single titled \u2018Recycle\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, the song which was produced by Letter i Dub Productions is currently enjoying heavy rotation both locally and internationally.<\/p>\n \u201cI recorded this song to alert the people to what\u2019s currently going on in the world because the slave masters have removed the chains and shackles but we\u2019re still not free. They have trapped the people with their economic systems, rules and lies; it\u2019s a recycled form of slavery. This slavery might be more subtle and well disguised but it\u2019s very brutal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The Kingston-born dub poet recently made another step up the musical ladder when he performed on Night 2 at Reggae Sumfest.<\/p>\n \u201cPerforming at Sumfest was an awesome experience. I received a warm reception. I am looking forward to performing at the festival again next year.\u201d<\/p>\n He is currently busy in the studio working on his debut album which is slated for release next year.<\/p>\n Iyunda given name Courtney Robinson is a past student of Norman Manley High School.
