Dancehall artiste Don Husky has his eyes firmly placed on the South American Market.<\/p>\n
\u201cJah T from Jah T Promotion and Stampede told me that the people in South America love Jamaican music, but I didn\u2019t fully understand what they meant until I visited Panama with him in May. The people over there have a tremendous respect for Jamaican Culture,\u201d said the artiste.<\/p>\n
The gravelly-voiced deejay who was once signed to Down Sound Records recently did a series of shows in Panama.<\/p>\n
\u201cI performed at the Black Ethnic Parade in Rio Abajo and Colon City. I also performed at one of the hottest clubs in the country, Calle 18, in Caledonia. The people loved all my songs especially, \u2018Ancestors\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. Big up to Ras Nni for booking me on these events,\u201d said Don Husky.<\/p>\n While he was in Panama Don Husky also did some work in the studios.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile I was there, I worked on projects with some Panamanian artistes and producers. I have a song coming out soon with Suku Castro and Sheice. I also have another one coming out with Marilyn Malaika,\u201d said Don Husky.<\/p>\n The hardworking entertainer plans to return to South America very soon.<\/p>\n \u201cMy team is currently working with some promoters to organize a min-tour of South America. If everything goes according to plan I will be going to Columbia, Costa Rica and Brazil for a series of performances before the end of the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n Don Husky is currently promoting a single titled \u2018Ancestors\u2019<\/em><\/strong> on the Bossy Music imprint.
