They are looking to score big with the <strong><em>\u2018Premier League Riddim\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, their latest offering.<\/p>\n<p>It is scheduled for release in July with <strong><em>\u2018Speak the Truth\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by Turbulence as the lead single. Orin Allenger, a senior member of the Kings of Kings production team, rates the Premier League as one of the label\u2019s strongest efforts in some time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Turbulence single is a truth an\u2019 rights song as they used to say back in the day. It deals with issues the everyday man can identify with,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Allenger added that he expects a total of seven artists \u2014 a mix of established and emerging \u2014 will record on the <strong><em>\u2018Premier League\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, which is among several projects to be released this year by Kings of Kings Productions. Another is a gospel album from Colin \u201cIley Dread\u201d Levy, the Jamaican who founded the company in Montreal in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, he has overseen the release of well-received roots albums by Norris Man <strong><em>(\u2018Persistence\u2019)<\/em><\/strong>, as well as the Coolie Man and Martial Arts riddims which were popular among hardcore dancehall fans.<\/p>\n<p>Allenger, who has been a member of the Kings of Kings team since 1999, is a pivotal figure in dancehall-reggae circles throughout the Eastern Caribbean, Guyana and Suriname.
