Bamm told reggaenorthca that the leisure items were created by a designer named IDM Port.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are many pieces available, a variety to be exact. From T-shirts, hoodies, hats, even rolling papers. We want to give the customer many options to choose from,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
It is the latest venture by Bamm to introduce his grandfather\u2019s legacy to a new generation of fans. He and his father, singer Junior Holt, have re-recorded several of John Holt\u2019s songs including \u2018Police in Helicopter\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>and \u2018Tribal War\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, giving them a different flavor to reach young ears.<\/p>\n \u201cThe objective of this endeavor is to give fans of my grandfather a chance to have memorabilia or some sort, of the legend. When he was alive, clothing wasn\u2019t really a thing, but \u2018merch\u2019 runs the entertainment (industry),\u201d Bamm explained.<\/p>\n Arguably reggae\u2019s most influential singer, John Holt died in 2014 at age 67. He had a string of hit songs as a solo act and with The Paragons, one of the top groups from the rock steady era of the 1960s.<\/p>\n \u2018Stick by Me\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, \u2018A Love I Can Feel\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, \u2018Wear You to The Ball\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, \u2018Stealing, Stealing\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, \u2018Strange Things\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and \u2018Stranger in Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong> are some of John Holt\u2019s best known songs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" VoltzOfHolt, a line of merchandise bearing the image of legendary singer John Holt, was released in April.
