It has 15 songs, 13 of which are originals, and showcases the singer\u2019s vocal and writing skills.<\/p>\n<p>The veteran artist is pleased with his latest collection of songs which he describes as \u201cwell-written and produced\u201d. It hears him returning to his dancehall roots on songs like <strong><em>\u2018Leave Her Alone\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, a rocking collaboration with Josey Wales.\u00a0 \u201cWell, this album is definitely different because 90 percent of it is original. The other exciting thing about it is we did this album over 20-odd years ago,\u201d Nooks disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Other songs on <strong><em>\u2018Music in de Message\u2019<\/em><\/strong> are <strong><em>\u2018Gangster from Jam Dung\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>\u2018Rude Bwoy\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018Serious Times\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. But Nooks also has time for the lovers on <strong><em>\u2018So Nice to Be with You\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, a song originally done by The Monkees, but made famous in Jamaica by Boris Gardiner and Dennis Brown.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018Music In de Message\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is Nooks\u2019 first album since <strong><em>\u2018Through It All\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, a solid collection of inspirational songs released in 2018 by Tad\u2019s International Record.<\/p>\n<p>George Nooks has been making songs for over 45 years, starting with songs like <strong><em>\u2018Tribal War\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018Left with A Broken Heart\u2019<\/em><\/strong> for producer Joe Gibbs. As deejay Prince Mohamed, he provided the toast to hit singles by Dennis Brown <strong><em>(\u2018How Could I Leave\/Bubbling Love\u2019)<\/em><\/strong> and Culture <strong><em>(\u2018Zion Gate\/Fortyleg Dread\u2019)<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Music In de Message\u2019, George Nooks\u2019 first album in six years, was released on May 3 by Tad\u2019s International Record.
