Their version, produced by Richie Stephens for Tad\u2019s International Record, is scheduled for release in early June.<\/p>\n<p>The song is done to the melody of <strong><em>\u2018When Someone Loves You Back\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, a big hit for Teddy Pendergrass in 1978. Hezron replicates David Ruffin\u2019s stirring lead vocals on the original, which was released in 1966 by Motown Records.<\/p>\n<p>Grammy winner Beenie Man complement\u2019s Hezron\u2019s vocals with a toast reminiscent of his glory days on songs like <strong><em>\u2018Oysters and Conch\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>and <strong><em>\u2018Healing\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (with Lady Saw). Tad Dawkins Sr., head of Tad\u2019s International Record, is confident their take on <strong><em>\u2018Ain\u2019t Too Proud to Beg\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is hit-bound.<\/p>\n<p>Hezron is a stalwart of the Tad\u2019s International Record camp. He has released several well-received songs for the label including <strong><em>\u2018Natural Woman\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>\u2018Save The Children\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018I Shall be Released\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (with Big Youth).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018Ain\u2019t Too Proud to Beg\u2019<\/em><\/strong> features the vaunted <strong><em>\u2018Classic Five\u2019<\/em><\/strong> lineup of The Temptations, one of the acts that helped put Motown Records on the map.
