The Ska & Reggae Festival is set to return to Victoria this summer and their lineup has officially been announced!\u00a0 Back and bigger than ever, this will mark the festival\u2019s 25th annual year\u2014a monumental achievement promised to bring a stacked cast of performers that you won\u2019t get anywhere else.<\/p>\n
This five-day celebration, from June 19th to 23rd in the heart of downtown Victoria, presents impressive debuts and favourites from around the world to showcase the power and beauty of Jamaican rooted music and culture.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival always aims to bring the masses something completely unique, this year nearly all four headlining acts are making Western Canada-exclusive appearances,\u201d a media release read.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re not going to find another festival like this anywhere around!\u201d<\/p>\n
Returning for the first time since their unforgettable 2019 performance is Less Than Jake\u2014they\u2019re set to headline again, and this time it will be held in the Victoria Curling Club (VCC) venue.<\/p>\n
In fact, VCC will host a number of legendary ska bands, including The Suicide Machines who\u2019s making their ska debut, The Slackers, The Planet Smashers Mephiskapheles.<\/p>\n
Dead Prez will be headlining at the main stage in Victoria\u2019s Inner Harbour, marking their first Canadian appearance in over a decade!<\/p>\n
Also coming to the main stage will be Chile\u2019s Gondwana making their festival debut, the UK\u2019s Macka B & the Roots Ragga Band and Mungo\u2019s Hi-Fi joined by vocalist Marina P.<\/p>\n
California\u2019s Big Mountain, best known for their cover of Peter Frampton\u2019s \u201cBaby, I Love Your Way\u201d, will also be making their festival debut!<\/p>\n
