He expresses those feelings on <strong><em>\u2018Da Rula\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, his latest song which is expected out in late March.<\/p>\n<p>The track is produced by his son, Bamm Holt. It is expected to be part of an album by Junior Holt, tentatively scheduled for release this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI man was always around spiritual vibes \u2018cause I man mother and grandmother is churchgoers and my mother is a minister in church. Jah Rastafari is what I learnt about as a young Rastaman growing up in the early \u201890s and being around a lot of elders who taught I man certain religions that I never even know of. So, with all that knowledge and growing up in the struggles as a young man, inspired me to be able to pencil out these lyrics,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018\u2018Da Rula\u2019<\/em><\/strong> will be released on the Voltage label, which Holt operates out of Connecticut. Since opening a recording studio there last year, Junior and Bamm Holt have recorded a number of songs along with Brian Holt, Junior\u2019s brother.<\/p>\n<p>Both are sons of reggae legend John Holt, who died in 2014 at age 69. Determined to keep his legacy alive, Junior and Bamm Holt have covered some of Holt senior\u2019s songs including <strong><em>\u2018Tribal War\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018Police in Helicopter\u2019<\/em><\/strong> to introduce him to a new generation of fans.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Junior Holt stages <strong><em>&#8216;Love I Can Feel\u2019<\/em><\/strong>: John Holt Tribute&#8217;, a live show, in Kingston.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Singer Junior Holt has always believed in a Supreme Being, no matter a person\u2019s religious persuasion.
