Canadian recording artiste Jonelle has joined the Fully Bright initiative, leveraging her brand to support the initiative’s goal of inspiring Jamaican students to prioritise their education.<\/p>\n
“I think this initiative aligns with who I am as an artiste. I’m all about the positivity and encouragement,” she shared.\u00a0 “Through my music, the messages in my songs are very relatable to everyone. I will be bringing a positive message through reggae music, which the Jamaican students can connect to.”<\/p>\n
Jonelle has expressed confidence that her music can be used as a teaching and motivating tool for students. She said a similar approach was used to motivate pupils in Canada when she attended school.<\/p>\n
“When I was in high school music was used to motivate me and to keep me from allowing my emotions to get the best of me. Music is a tool that we all can use to heal ourselves. When we add a message to a great beat, it’s like programming the subconscious mind. The positive message can help transform a negative mind into a positive one,” she reasoned.<\/p>\n
