During his visit to Jamaica, he visited the Salvation Army for The Blind where he was once a student. Like many Jamaican artists who live overseas, making a mark in the home of dancehall\/reggae is critical for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say my trip to Jamaica was more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined. Being welcomed home by the people of Montego Bay was one of the most heartwarming experiences of my trip, and being confirmed for Reggae Sumfest was an unexpected surprise for me,\u201d he said. \u201cHaving a presence in Jamaica is vital. With the support of the home crowd, anything is possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A political science major at Stony Brook University in New York, Nigy Boy started recording music four years ago. <strong><em>\u2018You And I\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018Superwoman\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (dedicated to his mother) were his initial songs, followed by <strong><em>\u2018Lover Not a Fighter\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of live shows, he has been opening act for Dexta Daps and has done spot dates in New York. Reggae Sumfest, scheduled for Montego Bay in July, will be his biggest gig to date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs for me performing at Reggae Sumfest, the fans should just look forward for a performance that they will remember for ages to come.
