Dancehall artiste G Garrison credits his mother Miss Pauline Forrest who passed away in 1998 when he was just seven years old for inspiring him to become a recording artiste.<\/p>\n
\u201cI grew up hearing my mom singing in our home all the time. She had a very beautiful voice, but she never pursued a career in the music business. I learned how to carry a tune and create melodies by listening to her. Although she\u2019s no longer here in the flesh I can still feel her presence and I know she\u2019s singing in Zion now,\u201d said the artiste.<\/p>\n
The Kingston-born deejay is confident that this year will be his breakout year in music.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve spent a lot of years honing my skills. I’ve paid my dues and now I am ready to show the world what I can do. I want to be a dancehall superstar. I know it\u2019s a very lofty goal, but I am going to achieve it. This year is my year; I can feel it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
G Garrison is currently promoting his new single titled \u2018Chip\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. The song which is one of the featured tracks on his upcoming debut album was produced by Pleasure Bunch Records.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very happy with the response that this song is receiving. It\u2019s getting a lot of support from DJs both locally and abroad.
