It is produced by Tad Dawkins Jr.<\/p>\n<p>It is a cover of Redrose\u2019s 1994 song produced by Richard Bell for Startrail Records. Terry Linen said it was one of his favorite tracks as a budding artist, in rural St. Elizabeth parish, Jamaica.\u00a0 &#8220;Is a song mi always love, &#8217;cause it have certain powers. Dat song is about me,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Once he decided to cover <strong><em>\u2018No Heathen\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, Terry Linen called on Redrose to play a part on his version, which is expected to be on his (Terry Linen\u2019s) album, scheduled for release in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Best known for songs like <strong><em>\u2018Couldn\u2019t be The Girl for Me\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and a cover of Whitney Houston\u2019s <strong><em>\u2018Your Love is my Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, Terry Linen and the team at Tad\u2019s went for a different feel than the original. Their take is totally live, with the musicians being saxophonist Dean Fraser, trumpeter Okiel McIntyre, guitarist Mitchum \u201cKhan\u201d Chin, drummer Kirk Bennett and Donald \u201cDanny Bassie\u201d Dennis.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Redrose cut <strong><em>\u2018No Heathen\u2019<\/em><\/strong> on a revamped version of the Tempo \u2018riddim\u2019 produced by his mentor King Tubby in the late 1980s.
