You hear it in their songs, they keep singing about oil and powder and guzzu. This kind of message will lead the people into darkness and confusion. Jamaica is a God-blessed country, and we don\u2019t want that to change. So, I am asking them to stop promoting obeah in the music,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Turbulence also added, \u201cIt is said that obeah is a form of magic that was practiced by our African ancestors who were brought here as slaves. They used it to heal and to ward off evil forces, but we have also learned that obeah can be used to do evil things. I do not condone the practice of evil; therefore, I will never promote it in my songs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The song which was produced by Grand Cayman-based dancehall artiste\/producer Appallo J was recently released on the Top Score Records imprint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurbulence and I have been putting a lot of promotion behind this song and it\u2019s getting strong support from DJs in Cayman, Jamaica, the US, the UK, and Europe.
