One of dancehall music’s most prolific hitmakers, Beenie Man has a deserved place among the genre’s greats. ‘Weh She Want’<\/em><\/strong>, his new song, dropped on (June 9) on Nuh Rush Records.<\/p>\n

‘Weh She Want’<\/em><\/strong> is the latest single released on the Bashment ‘riddim’. Junior Brown, principal of Nuh Rush Records, says The Doctor still has the goods to ride the charts.\u00a0 “I believe that once you give Beenie the riddim the rest would be history. Never a doubt as to what he would have done with the track, and expect nothing but a hit as usual,” said Brown.<\/p>\n

‘Red Hot’<\/em><\/strong> by Kananga and Busy Signal’s ‘Big Chune’<\/em><\/strong> are songs on the Bashment beat that have been released.<\/p>\n

Beenie Man ruled dancehall charts during the 1990s and early 2000s with a flood of hit songs including ‘Oysters and Conch’<\/em><\/strong>, ‘Who Am I’<\/em><\/strong>, ‘Romie’<\/em><\/strong> and ‘Dude’<\/em><\/strong>. He won the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album with ‘Art & Life’<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
