It is a tribute to Bogle, the legendary dancer who is one of dancehall music&#8217;s most transformative figures.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by Carl McGregor, the song was released May 12. It is done to the music of <strong><em>&#8216;Mister Bojangles&#8217;<\/em><\/strong>, a song made famous by Sammy Davis Jr, in tribute to tap dancer Bill Bojangles.<\/p>\n<p>Triple Blaxxx, who lives in Southern California, said he was inspired to record a song saluting Bogle after hearing <strong><em>&#8216;Mister Bojangles&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> while hiking with friends in the Hollywood hills last year.\u00a0 &#8220;This dude came with something that was never displayed before in our dancehall space. The things he said, the way he dressed, his dance moves&#8230;he meant something to life,&#8221; Triple Blaxxx explained.<\/p>\n<p>The colorful Bogle was an integral part of the 1990s dancehall explosion, alongside artists like Beenie Man and Buju Banton who did songs such as <strong><em>&#8216;World Dance&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>&#8216;Bogle&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> in homage to his nimble moves.<\/p>\n<p>Bogle, whose signature dances included the Willie Bounce and Urkle, was murdered at a petrol station in Kingston, Jamaica in January 2005, shortly after leaving the popular Weddy Weddy dance. He was 40 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Previously known as Sugar Black, Triple Blaxxx recorded as a duo with fellow singer Lebanculah for Tony Rebel&#8217;s Flames Music during the 1990s.
