The veteran drummer will celebrate their legacy on April 1-2 during the 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of his \u2018Rhythms of Africa\u2019 show.<\/p>\n<p>Both shows take place at Miramar Cultural Center where the event was first held in 2010. In addition to the customary menu of African beats and guest artist Julian Marley, Stewart and his orchestra will salute Third World\u2019s 50<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary in a segment titled <strong><em>\u2018Love Will Always Be There\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It will comprise renditions\u00a0of the band\u2019s finest moments. Stewart, who joined Third World in 1976, said the journey will be an experience for long-time fans and youngsters who have recently discovered their timeless songs.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s really something to look forward to. Third World was really a band ahead of its time and it is important we recognize that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Stewart was a member of the classic Third World lineup that also included co-founders (guitarist) Stephen \u201cCat\u201d Coore and keyboardist Ibo Cooper, bassist Richie Daley, percussionist Carrot Jarret and guitarist\/lead vocalist Bunny Rugs.<\/p>\n<p>He played on 13 of their albums including the impressive <strong><em>\u201896 Degrees in The Shade\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, which was released in 1976; and <strong><em>\u2018Journey to Addis\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>which came out two years later. The latter contains <strong><em>\u2018Now That we Found Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, Third World\u2019s biggest song.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although he left the band 26 years ago, Willie Stewart will forever be associated with Third World.
