He puts a reggae flavor to their 1972 ballad,\u00a0<strong><em>&#8216;The Coldest Days of my Life&#8217;<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Done as <strong><em>&#8216;Coldest Days of my Life &#8216;<\/em><\/strong>, his version was released November 25 by Heavy Beat Records.\u00a0 It is produced by his father Willie Lindo.<\/p>\n<p>It was Lindo senior&#8217;s idea to cover <strong><em>&#8216;The Coldest Days of my Life<\/em><\/strong>&#8216;. His son, a fan of songs from the 1970s, readily agreed.\u00a0 \u201cI always like making sensuous songs because people love to be in love. Love songs appeal to everybody,\u201d he said in a 2021 interview.<\/p>\n<p>Kashief sang and played several instruments on <strong><em>\u2018Coldest Days of my Life\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. He was accompanied by Willie on guitar, and former Maytals drummer Paul Douglas.\u00a0 <strong><em>\u2018Coldest Days of my Life\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>closes a strong year for Heavy Beat Records, owned by the Lindo family. Their previous release, <strong><em>\u2018Ain\u2019t no Love in The Heart of The City\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by Ambelique, topped charts in South Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Heavy Beat Records has been around for over 40 years. It has produced a number of hit singles such as <strong><em>\u2018What One Dance Can Do\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by Beres Hammond, <strong><em>\u2018Inseparable\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by Dennis Brown, Boris Gardiner\u2019s <strong><em>\u2018I Wanna Wake up With You\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, and \u2018<strong><em>I love You Too Much\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by Wayne Wade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kashief Lindo closes 2022 with a chilling cover of a classic song originally done by soul giants, The Chi-Lites.
