Reggae singer Tr\u00e9son\u2019s new single\u00a0\u2018Got to go now,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>showcases his syrupy and unique vocals that get your attention from the first note. The eclectic singer, widely known for his stage performances, recently released the track on the\u00a0\u2018My Turn Riddim\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0compilation album.<\/p>\n

Tr\u00e9son is also a well-respected songwriter known for songs like the unforgettable\u00a0\u2018Moments\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. The artist said that when Phylani Music approached him to record the song \u2018Got to go Now\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, it came at the perfect time.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I heard\u00a0\u2018Got to go Now\u2019<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em> it<\/em> spoke to me on many different levels,” he said. “The song is written by Tony Anthony, a great singer, and songwriter. I needed a song on the market, so I decided to go for it\u201d, Tr\u00e9son continued. \u201cThe song presented a fair bit of challenge for me to learn; I had to see both sides, my singing style, and phrasing, and Tony\u2019s singing style and phrasing, to blend both. In the studio, I was under the masterful direction of engineer Osborne \u2018Ifield\u2019 Joseph, who was instrumental in my vocal delivery\u201d.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0\u2018My Turn Riddim’<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Compilation album also features songs by Luciano, Ed Robinson, Rad Dixon, Troy Bronxz, Onique, Fiona Chin, and Tony Anthony. The project is produced by Phylani Music and Tasjay Productions and is available in all leading online stores.<\/p>\n

Tr\u00e9son revealed that even though fans have not heard a lot of new materials or seen him performing solo in a while, he has been busy working as the lead vocalist with Canadian reggae band, The Human Rights. They have been recording and touring across Canada and have amassed a loyal following.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tr\u00e9son explained that after learning about certain negative aspects of the music business, he had to step back for a while because he was not ready to compromise himself or the music. \u201cSince my first EP\u00a0\u2018Tr\u00e9son meets VX\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, I came to the harsh reality that the music industry is a hostile environment”, he said. “The need to make money from talent will force the artist to compromise, even to the point of surrendering one\u2019s inner soul\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI realized that my journey was to be a long one. I decided to work full time in the construction industry, which gave me the needed sustenance for everyday life while at the same time preserving the honor of music and myself\u201d.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fans can expect more solo works from Tr\u00e9son soon. A single on Reggae North’s\u00a0\u201cKeele Street Project\u201d<\/em><\/strong> hit the streets in 2023, with new materials with Pha Real Entertainment out of Jamaica and the UK.<\/p>\n
