Dancehall artist Al Beeno has released three singles and two videos in the past few months.\u00a0\u2018Bad Mind\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0featuring Plugz,\u00a0\u2018Dream Big\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, and\u00a0\u2018Born <\/em>Poor\u2019<\/em><\/strong>; <\/em>the hot single getting a lot of attention from radio DJs worldwide.<\/p>\n

Following the success of his self-produced EP\u00a0\u2018Dream By\u2019<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>released in December 2021, all the singles were produced, mixed, and mastered by Al Beeno in his Thirteen Sound Recording Studio and released on his Thirteen Sound Record label. His music is distributed online by DistroKid.<\/p>\n

For the past few years, Al Beeno has been hard at work, learning about the music business, ownership, honing his music craft, producing, mixing, and mastering his productions from his Thirteen Sound Recording Studio. Al Beeno has also ventured into video production, directing, filming, and editing.<\/p>\n

Corrie “Al Beeno” Moody, also known as Prince Yellowman, was born in\u00a0Kingston<\/a>,\u00a0Jamaica<\/a>. The \u2018Born Poor\u2019<\/em><\/strong> DJ later moved to\u00a0Toronto<\/a>, Canada, where the music bug bit him, and he hasn\u2019t looked back since. Al Beeno was born with a rare skin condition,\u00a0albinism<\/a>, the absence of pigmentation in his skin, hair, and eyes; he made the most of this by calling himself Al Beeno.<\/p>\n

His lyrical style (mixed with\u00a0hip hop<\/a>\u00a0urban<\/a>\u00a0beats, also known as\u00a0ragga<\/a>) with fast beats earned him the nickname Prince Yellowman; this is a reference to Dancehall artist King Yellowman, also an albino, who became popular during the early 1980s and throughout the 1990s.<\/p>\n

In 1995, Al Beeno was the opening performer at one of the largest reggae concerts held in Toronto; other guest performers included\u00a0Buju Banton<\/a>,\u00a0Bounty Killer<\/a>, and\u00a0Cocoa Tea<\/a>. In 2021 Al Beeno performed and did part-time host duties at The South Asian Bollywood Festival in Toronto.<\/p>\n

Al Beeno’s first single and music video was\u00a0\u2018What’s My Name\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 In 2018 he released\u00a0\u2018Mama Tell Me\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Other tracks by Al Beeno are\u00a0\u2018Fifi Music Group\u2019<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0\u2018Infatuated\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0with Kris Kelly,\u00a0\u2018Wake up Call\u2019,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>and\u00a0\u2018Get Love\u2019.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Recently, he appeared with South Asian artists Parm B on Randi J on the track\u00a0\u2018Rattan Nu\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Al-Beeno is upbeat about his prospects in 2023 and beyond. He is currently working on several projects that he believes will propel his status, such as a collaboration featuring Ammoye Evans produced by Muzik Souljah titled\u00a0\u2018Love Me Always\u2019<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em>\u00a0a beautiful rendition of the Heptone’s classic.<\/p>\n
