There is a blend of both genres on <strong><em>\u2018Fall in Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, his latest effort.<\/p>\n<p>Released in early October by Tad\u2019s International Record, the song hears Ginjah reaching out to a world in chaos.\u00a0 \u201cI was thinking about a song that the entire world will accept, a universal song.\u00a0 That was the mindset, finding something to stick in the minds of the people in this competitive world,\u201d the singer explained.<strong><em>\u2018Fall in Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is the follow-up to <strong><em>\u2018These Arms\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, an easy-listening ballad released during the summer.\u00a0 This time around, Ginjah wanted to create something similar to one of pop music\u2019s great anthems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe feel that I had in mind was Bob Marley\u2019s song, <strong><em>\u2018One Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 I was saying to myself, \u2018How can I make a song close to that and stay original\u2019. I see the\u00a0lack of love songs in the space. Also, my music has a purpose to help in the healing of our society,\u201d said Ginjah.<\/p>\n<p>Saxophonist Dean Fraser and bassist Donald \u201cDanny Bassie\u201d Dennis of the Firehouse Crew are among the musicians who played on <strong><em>\u2018Fall in Love\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>which is expected to be on Ginjah\u2019s next album, scheduled for release this year.\u00a0 Ginjah\u2019s hit songs include <strong><em>\u2018Never Lost my Way\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>\u2018Guilty Conscience\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>and <strong><em>\u2018Sweet Killer\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An artist with indiscriminate tastes, Ginjah is comfortable doing lovers rock ballads as well as rootsy, message songs.
