Up-and-coming dancehall artiste KayyDyan is determined to become the next big female star in Jamaican music.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am very talented and beautiful, but I know it takes more than just looks and talent to be a star. It also takes hard work, dedication, and commitment. That\u2019s why I put maximum effort into everything I do. Right now, I am working overtime to achieve my goals,\u201d said the artiste.<\/p>\n
She recently teamed up with veteran deejay Power Man to do a steamy remake of his 1990s hit single, \u2018Stone\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 The new version of the song which is titled \u2018Stone Rematch\u2019<\/em><\/strong> was released on the \u2018Art A Dancehall rhythm\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>compilation album in August on the Britlake Records imprint.\u00a0 \u201cWhen Power Man invited me to be a part of this project I didn\u2019t hesitate. I am very grateful to him for the opportunity because, \u2018Stone\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, is one of the iconic songs in dancehall music,\u201d said KayyDyan.<\/p>\n \u2018The Art A Dancehall<\/em><\/strong> rhythm\u2019 also features songs from Penny IRIE, Joseph Stepper, Krusha, D Fancey, Pengadon, Pretty D and Fya Flexx.<\/p>\n KayyDyan is currently busy in the studios working on new projects. \u201cIn dancehall music, you have to stay at least one step ahead of the game; it\u2019s a fast-paced business. I\u2019m recording some new singles that I\u2019m going to drop real soon. I\u2019m also going to drop a few videos too,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n KayyDyan given name Kelisha Green is a graduate of Papine High School.
