to the close association of Johnson (who owned racehorses) and deejays that worked on the sound system (<a title=\"General Trees\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/General_Trees\">General Trees<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a class=\"new\" title=\"Lord Sassafrass (page does not exist)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/w\/index.php?title=Lord_Sassafrass&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1\">Lord Sassafrass<\/a>) with horse racing, it rose to become one of the top sounds in Jamaica.<sup id=\"cite_ref-Lesser_2-1\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-Oumano_3-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-Barrow_4-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0Other deejays who worked on the system included Culture Lee, Shukashine, Barry Bak, and\u00a0<a title=\"Lady G\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lady_G\">Lady G<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-Lesser_2-2\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0Black Scorpio expanded into a record label in the early 1980s with a studio on Molynes Road in the Drewsland area of\u00a0<a title=\"Kingston, Jamaica\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kingston,_Jamaica\">Kingston<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-Larkin_5-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-Obs1_6-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0Johnson had his first hit as producer in 1982 with &#8220;Pink Eye&#8221;
