It comes nine years after <strong>\u2018Stronger\u2019<\/strong>, his debut set. Malvo, who lives in Atlanta, says his enduring career inspired the 12-song album\u2019s title.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI grew up in the reggae business.\u00a0I saw everything firsthand from working on Black Star, King Jammy\u2019s and even producing my own music. I worked with friend and colleague Anthony Redrose on the <strong>How Yu Fi Seh Dat<\/strong> label, and this was the beginning of my producing career,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI also worked with numerous artists and later started my own label, <strong>Real Music Production<\/strong>, where I produced music like <strong><em>\u2018Ballistic Affair\u2019<\/em><\/strong> with Bounty Killer, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Wayne Wonder and many more,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLater my adult children and I started <strong>Malvo Entertainment<\/strong> and again I worked with many artists on this label too. Therefore, with all these experiences under my belt and the vision of the music I developed over the years in the business, I decided to call my album <strong><em>\u2018Matured\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though he has been away from Jamaica\u2019s music scene for some time, Malvo keeps tabs with developments there. That was another factor in the song selection for <strong><em>\u2018Matured\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 \u201cI understood what the masses want to listen to, so I created something for everyone.\u00a0I included a little culture, lovers rock, and dancehall.\u00a0The album has something for everyone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Malvo was at his peak as an artiste in the late 1980s and much of the 1990s. His breakthrough song, <strong><em>\u2018Come Back to Me\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, was a colossal hit in 1987 for him and Tiger.<\/p>\n<p>Other hits, like <strong><em>\u2018Greatest Girl Lover\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (with Daddy Lizard) and <strong><em>\u2018Can You Stop the Rain\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, followed. They set the tone for <strong><em>\u2018Stronger\u2019<\/em><\/strong> which had collaborations with Anthony Redrose, Capleton, Determine and Delly Ranx; the latter is one of the producers on <strong><em>\u2018Matured\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran singer Anthony Malvo released his second album, \u2018Matured\u2019, on July 15.
