She first had a short career during the\u00a0<a title=\"Rocksteady\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rocksteady\">rocksteady<\/a>\u00a0era, between 1967 and 1969, but is most known for her single &#8220;<a title=\"You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/You_Don%27t_Love_Me_(No,_No,_No)\">You Don&#8217;t Love Me (No, No, No)<\/a>&#8221; which became a worldwide hit in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>Penn&#8217;s earliest recordings were composed and written by her around 1966 using session musicians. In 1967, she recorded the\u00a0rocksteady\u00a0single &#8220;You Don&#8217;t Love Me&#8221;, produced by\u00a0<a title=\"Coxsone Dodd\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Coxsone_Dodd\">Coxsone Dodd<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0<a title=\"Studio One (record label)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Studio_One_(record_label)\">Studio One<\/a>.<sup id=\"cite_ref-mtv.com_1-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0She also recorded &#8220;Why Did You Lie?&#8221; at Studio One, &#8220;Broke My Heart&#8221; for\u00a0Bunny Lee, &#8220;I Let You Go Boy&#8221; and\u00a0covers\u00a0of &#8220;<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"To Sir With Love (song)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/To_Sir_With_Love_(song)\">To Sir with Love<\/a>&#8221; and &#8220;<a title=\"Here Comes the Sun\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Here_Comes_the_Sun\">Here Comes the Sun<\/a>&#8220;.<sup id=\"cite_ref-AMG_2-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0Dawn had also recorded for singer and producer\u00a0<a title=\"Prince Buster\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Prince_Buster\">Prince Buster<\/a>\u00a0early in her career with songs like &#8220;Long Day, Short Night&#8221;, &#8220;Blue Yes Blue&#8221; and &#8220;Here&#8217;s the Key&#8221;.
