It is the sultry singer\u2019s first collection of songs since <\/span><b><i>\u2018Change\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which came out in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Except for the Sydney Mills-produced <\/span><b><i>\u2018Baby When You Left\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Brown called the shots on <\/span><b><i>\u2018Bad for Me\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which is released by her Music Mecka label.\u00a0 According to Brown, the album has songs with an \u201cacoustic vibe, hardcore reggae, House, R&amp;B and dancehall.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She added that, \u201cThe most satisfying thing about this album is spending time and making sure that I put a good project together, that not only I who was putting it together could enjoy it. But the consumer, the people who are buying it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>\u2018Baby When You Left\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was a hit on reggae radio in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut), South Florida and the United Kingdom. <\/span><b><i>\u2018Bad For Me\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also includes <\/span><b><i>\u2018My Religion\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a collaboration with Duane Stephenson, the yearning <\/span><b><i>\u2018Africa\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the resilient <\/span><b><i>\u2018Stronger\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the Jamaican artist\u2019s most ambitious project since she sustained life-threatening injuries in a motor accident in July 2017. That incident took place in Maryland and forced Brown to take an extended break from music.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She returned two years ago with <\/span><b><i>\u2018Baby When You Left\u2019<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a lush ballad directed by Mills, former keyboardist with Steel Pulse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sophia Brown has been recording since 2007.
