Up-and-coming Dancehall artiste Alphani believes it is a waste of time to create music that doesn\u2019t carry positive a message.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery time I go to the studio, I try my best to record songs that will make a positive impact on the minds of everyone who listens to my music,\u201d he said. \u201cIt makes no sense at all to make music that cannot inspire people to do good in the world. As entertainers, we\u2019re blessed by God with the ability to entertain and teach the people. We must never use our talent to lead them into darkness.\u201d<\/p>\n
The talented deejay who lists King Yellowman, Etana and Tarrus Riley among his musical influences is currently promoting a thought-provoking single titled \u201c18 And Over\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 The song that was produced by Indeed Records was released on the 17th of March, since then it has enjoyed strong rotation both locally and abroad.<\/p>\n \u201cThis song is hitting out against the men to think it\u2019s cool to have sexual relationships with under-aged girls. That kind of behavior is wrong on so many levels and we need to stomp it out of the society,\u201d said Alphani.<\/p>\n Alphani is currently busy in the studio working on several new projects for Indeed Records.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m currently working on some new songs for Indeed Records. I plan to drop a lot of singles this year. The first one that I plan to drop is a song titled \u2018Clarkes\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, we\u2019re going to release it in June,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Alphani given name Stephen Rhoden hails from the community of Leith Hall, in St. Thomas.
