Not one to dwell on hit songs, he is still promoting it while working on a follow-up.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u2018The Kingson from Kingston\u2019<\/em><\/strong> contains songs like Vibe (Big Sound) which the Rastafarian artist considers one of his most successful to date; <strong><em>\u2018Jah Neva Fail I Yet\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018Alive and Kicking\u2019<\/em><\/strong> which is done with Half Pint. \u201cI\u2019m pleased with the response so far. However, I would welcome even more exposure, so fans worldwide can enjoy the roots, culture of reggae that I bring,\u201d said LawGiver The Kingson.<\/p>\n<p>The California-based vocalist worked with some big names on <strong><em>\u2018The Kingson from Kingston\u2019<\/em><\/strong> including Sly &amp; Robbie, saxophonist Dean Fraser, and drummer Cleveland \u201cClevie\u201d Browne of Steely and Clevie fame. What resulted was \u201ctrue roots-reggae\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Though he was born in Kingston, Jamaica\u2019s capital, LawGiver The Kingson was raised in rustic Islington, St. Mary. His family had ties to the music business, with an uncle being the owner of the Tidal Wave sound system which showcased the early skills of \u2018homeboys\u2019 like Capleton and Mad Cobra.<\/p>\n<p>LawGiver The Kingson started his recording career in 1997.
