The self-produced single was released in late September.<\/p>\n<p>According to drummer Stephen Lee, a deliberate effort was made to project Jamaica\u2019s natural attributes such as its rural landscape and beaches, in the video for <strong><em>\u2018Welcome to my Land\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. He and his colleagues agreed that a feel-good song was necessary given uncertainties posed by the Coronavirus and the country\u2019s frightening crime rate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI personally don\u2019t think that Covid has made us more appreciative of our little island as it seems that nowhere is safe anymore. What I do know is that the curfew and the lockdowns have taken a toll on everyone, both financially and mentally,\u201d he said. There have been over 2000 deaths caused by the Coronavirus. In another bloody year, over 1,000 homicides have been recorded in the Caribbean country.<\/p>\n<p>The ATF Band was formed five years ago by keyboardist\/vocalist Herbie Harris. Bass player Lyndon Webb and guitarist Courtland White complete the quartet which had a hit song in 2019 with the catchy <strong><em>\u2018Yardie\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.
