He is often cited as the inventor of the concept of the\u00a0<a title=\"Remix\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Remix\">remix<\/a>\u00a0that later became ubiquitous in dance and\u00a0<a title=\"Electronic music\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Electronic_music\">electronic music<\/a>\u00a0production.
