Prominent entertainment publicist Ralston Barrett has returned to his musical roots. The humble Negril native who began his career in the early 1990s as a producer and artist manager has decided to take a stab at music production once again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m happy to get back in the production game, it\u2019s a part of the business that is very dear to my heart, said Barrett. \u201cI love working in the studios with talented musicians, artists and engineers to create music. I have a high level of appreciation for the creative process that it takes to produce good music.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Barrett\u2019s latest effort is a hard-driving dancehall rhythm titled the\u00a0Sobriety Test rhythm<\/span><\/b><\/em>. This is the first project to be released on the Symphony B Records imprint; a label that was created as a gift to his five-year-old daughter Symphony Barrett.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The nine-track rhythm album features songs such as Capleton\u2019s\u00a0Nuh Friendy Thing (Still Sober<\/span><\/b><\/em>)<\/span><\/em>, Delly Ranx\u2019s\u00a0Blaze It Blaze<\/span><\/b><\/em>, Jahbar I\u2019s\u00a0Rebel with a Spirit<\/span><\/b><\/em>, Sudu Mos-I\u2019s\u00a0Man a Winner<\/span><\/b><\/em>, Tellah\u2019s\u00a0Peace and Love<\/span><\/b><\/em>, Ffurious\u2019s\u00a0Clean Mi Clean<\/span><\/b><\/em>, Venjahnce\u2019s\u00a0Ganja Train<\/span><\/b><\/em>, Jah Wiz\u2019s\u00a0You\u2019ve Got to Try<\/span><\/b><\/em>, and Fyah Stick\u2019s\u00a0Education is the Key<\/span><\/b><\/em>. \u201cI\u2019m pleased about this project; the songs on the rhythm are excellent. It\u2019s my first project in a long while, and I hope it will be well received. I\u2019m going to put a lot of promotion behind it to ensure its success,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ralston Barrett is one of Jamaica\u2019s top entertainment publicists; over the past two decades, he has worked with some of the biggest acts in Reggae and Dancehall music including Sanchez, Luciano, Richie Spice, Protoje, Mr Vegas, Spice, Ninja Man, Gyptian, Rygin King and Chronic Law.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sobriety Test rhythm<\/span><\/b><\/em>\u00a0is distributed by VPAL Music and was released on all digital platforms, including iTunes, Amazon and Spotify, on the 24th of September.<\/span><\/p>\n
