But for <strong><em>\u2018Secret Admirer\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, his latest album, he returns to his secular roots. The 10-song collection was released in August. Its title track is actually Brotha George\u2019s first released single, which came out in the early 1980s when he recorded as George Wright.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u2018Secret Admirer\u2019<\/em><\/strong> was produced by Ossie Hibbert, a keyboardist and session musician at the famed Channel One studio in Kingston. Working with veteran musician Sydney Mills and emerging Andre \u201cDretegs\u201d Hawthorne, Brotha George revisited that song and others that celebrate the ladies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t see anything wrong with gospel artists doing lovers rock. Remember, God is love as long as it\u2019s clean. A lot of people in the church at times have a banquet, and one of their main lovers rock songs is \u2018She\u2019s Royal\u2019,\u201d said Brotha George.<\/p>\n<p>Bass guitarist, Lebert \u201cGibby\u201d Morrison, whose credits include working with Peter Tosh and Jimmy Cliff, also played on <strong><em>\u2018Secret Admirer\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 <strong><em>\u2018Strong Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>\u2018Virtuous Woman\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018Whiter Shade of Pale\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>are some of the other songs on the album which was recorded in Jamaica and New York.<\/p>\n<p>Brotha George is from the Cockburn Gardens\/Majesty Gardens communities of Kingston.
