It is almost obligatory to salute the good weed, which is what French deejay Ricky Sai Sai does on <strong><em>&#8216;Jamaican Collie&#8217;<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Produced by Jamaican Maka Lox, the song is scheduled for release in late November as part of the <strong><em>&#8216;Congo General&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> compilation album.<\/p>\n<p>Ricky Sai Sai said, <strong><em>&#8216;Jamaican Collie&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> is inspired by <strong><em>&#8216;Cool Collie&#8217;<\/em><\/strong>, a 1967 song by Hopeton Lewis. With 2025 marking the 10th anniversary since the process to decriminalize marijuana in Jamaica, such a song is appropriate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What we are trying to do is help stop the war against the weed, and pay tribute to the farmers and users,&#8221; Ricky Sai Sai noted.<\/p>\n<p>He took a different course on \u2018Jamaican Collie\u2019 which is recorded in English. Most of his previous songs including <strong><em>\u2018Seulement du Rub A Dub\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018A Tous Les Rude Boys\u2019<\/em><\/strong> are done in his native language.<\/p>\n<p>Ricky Sai Sai was born in the United Kingdom to French parents. He has been a fan of Jamaican music since the 1980s when he discovered Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Dennis Brown, Josey Wales, Charlie Chaplin and Papa San.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em>\u2018Congo General\u2019<\/em><\/strong> album will be released by Maka Lox\u2019\u00a0Ora Ora Ngaru label.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most reggae artists have recorded a reggae song.
