In the wake of the catastrophic Category 5 Hurricane Melissa, large parts of Jamaica have been left in ruins. Homes, communities, and livelihoods have been devastated \u2014 but the spirit of resilience remains unbroken. Now, Jamaicans at home and abroad are coming together to rebuild and restore the island they love.<\/p>\n

Jamaica needs us now more than ever. In response to this national crisis, members of the Jamaican community in Canada have stepped forward to make a difference. Some of Canada\u2019s most talented artists are lending their voices and their hearts to lead \u201cHope for Jamaica: A Community Hurricane Relief Concert\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 a night of unity, healing, and support.<\/p>\n

\"\"More than 30 performers \u2014 singers, DJs, musicians, dub poets, MCs, and selectors \u2014 will come together on one stage to raise funds for Jamaica\u2019s recovery efforts. Featured performers include Akustix, Alvin Patrick, Blk Orchid, Celena, Com4th, Deemo Matthews, Exco Levi, Fergus Hambleton, J Stvrr, Jazmin Headley, Jimmy Reid, Kairo Mclean, Kay Morris, Lavie Lujah, Lazah Current, Legato, Mavriq Brown, Mel C, Mel Dube, Ms. Letna Allen, Ras Takura, Richie C, Sone G, Steele, Steve Knight, Tasha T, Teshara, Tony Anthony, Tonya P, Treson, Trueace, and Winston Paddy<\/strong>. MCs Danae Peart, Marcia Brown and Sir b. Music by D.J Corey and Joshua Lucas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event \u2014 HOPE FOR JAMAICA<\/strong> \u2014 will be held under the distinguished patronage of Her Excellency Marsha Coore-Lobban, High Commissioner of Jamaica to Canada, on Thursday, November 6th, at the Jamaican Canadian Association, located at 995 Arrow Road, Toronto.
\nDoors open at 5 p.m., with showtime at 6 p.m.

Guests can look forward to an unforgettable evening filled with powerful performances, vibrant energy, and delicious Jamaican cuisine \u2014 all in support of a vital cause.<\/p>\n
