Besides doing it in reggae, he wanted to make another change.<\/p>\n<p>The drummer\/singer brought in singer Cen\u2019C Love to add a verse in place of the signature guitar solo. She did just that and the song was released in August by Kastick\u2019s Groove Galore Muzik.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really wanted to do something different instead of the guitar solo. She came up with that verse and I was totally blown away,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kastick, who has toured as a drummer with Shaggy, Sean Paul, Diana King, Big Mountain and Maxi Priest, first met Cen\u2019C Love in 2017. Their cover of <strong><em>\u2018Is This Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is also the first time they worked together.<\/p>\n<p>From Montego Bay, Kastick developed a love for rock music during the early days of MTV in the 1980s. While playing in bands in hotels on Jamaica\u2019s north coast, he was given a cassette of Whitesnake\u2019s self-titled 1987 album by a tourist; that set was driven by <strong><em>\u2018Is This Love\u2019<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>\u2018Here I Go Again\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, another monster hit.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, Kastick made his lead singer debut with a cover of Steely Dan\u2019s <strong><em>\u2018Night by Night\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, which is one of the 15 songs on \u2018<strong><em>My Reggae Rockin\u2019 Journey Vol 1\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, his first album.
