Singer resurfaces with Sunshine Days after 13-year hiatus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been more than a decade since singer Da\u2019Ville has been active on the music scene. Still, the entertainer, who once had the industry in a chokehold, is hoping to make up for lost time with a vibrant new single dubbed \u2018Sunshine Days\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. Set for release on Friday, July 17, the track will usher in what the entertainer hopes to be a triumphant return.<\/p>\n

Outlining that his career was never about \u201cfame or fortune\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, the reggae singer says music, even whilst in the shadows, has been his means of survival. He says resurfacing will show exactly that, as he has never stopped believing in himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first started it was never about fame or fortune; it was just my passion. Music helped me survive. Even when nobody else believed in me, I believed in myself,\u201d he said. \u201cThis track is personal and will show that I always looked forward to brighter days even amidst dark times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking of dark times, the\u00a0\u2018Can\u2019t Get Over You\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0singer said a part of the reason for his 13-year hiatus was a falling out between himself and his record label.<\/p>\n

He expressed that a contract he had entered into turned out to be stifling creatively. Walking away from the deal, he said, proved to be even more crippling.<\/p>\n

\u201cEventually, I left New York. I walked away from my label, my management, and everything else. Then I found out I was being blacklisted just for standing up for myself,\u201d he shared. \u201cBut I chose me. I chose joy. I chose faith. I chose the fans who never stopped believing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the most personal and spiritual chapter of my journey,\u201d Da\u2019Ville continued. \u2018Sunshine Days\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is about gratitude, love, and walking through life with your head up. The world needs that energy right now and I\u2019m here to give it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Sunshine Days\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0will be distributed by AMP Music and managed by Beautiful People Management, spearheaded by Wendy Morgan. According to Morgan, Da\u2019Ville has grown tremendously during his time away from the spotlight and is ready to immerse himself fully in the space again.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis project is truly from the heart. Da\u2019Ville has grown tremendously, both personally and artistically. It\u2019s an honour to help him bring this moment to the world,\u201d said Morgan.<\/p>\n

Askia, executive at AMP Music, said Da\u2019\u2019Ville has delivered something truly special with\u00a0\u2018Sunshine Days\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>and says the artiste\u2019s \u201cvoice and spirit are all over this song\u2026\u00a0\u2018Sunshine Days\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is more than a single, it\u2019s a statement. His truth, his voice, and his spirit are all over this song and we\u2019re proud to stand behind him\u201d.<\/p>\n

The track\u2019s music video was directed by BlingBlang Works.<\/p>\n
