Canada\u2019s Reggae and Dancehall artists are stepping proudly into the spotlight with the official announcement of the 2025 Reggae North Music Awards<\/em> (RNMA) <\/strong>nominees\u2014now available at www.reggaenorthmusicawards.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A national celebration of talent, culture, and creativity, the RNMA recognizes excellence in Canadian Reggae and Dancehall across 19 diverse categories. From Male and Female Vocalist of the Year<\/em> to Top Producer<\/em>,<\/strong> the awards highlight the vibrant artistry emerging from every corner of the country.<\/p>\n

Over 150 submissions poured in from across the music industry, including artists, producers, publicists, managers, radio personalities, and labels. Each was evaluated by a dedicated selection committee, with a sharp focus on composition, lyrical power, production quality, and melodic strength.<\/p>\n

Reflecting the evolving rhythms of the scene, this year\u2019s RNMA debuts an exciting new category: Top Club\/Party Reggae Dancehall DJ<\/em>\u2014a nod to the DJs who keep Canada\u2019s dance floors alive and the culture thriving.<\/p>\n

In addition to celebrating rising talent, the 2025 RNMA will pay tribute to two icons with its prestigious Living Legend Award<\/em>. Honorees include renowned vocalist Nana McLean<\/strong> and pioneering sound system legend Rose \u201cRosa\u201d Green<\/strong>, affectionately known as the father of Canadian dancehall. Their decades of dedication have laid the foundation for generations of reggae lovers and artists.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025<\/strong>, at the elegant Rose Theatre in Brampton, Ontario<\/strong>.
