Staying true to his roots while diving deeper into universal themes, Neto Yuth’s latest track explores the age-old concept of karma through a modern root’s reggae lens.

“I’ve wanted to make a song about karma for a long time,” Neto Yuth shared. “It’s a universal law that we’re all facing—no one can escape it. It’s like gravity, the law of attraction, or the law of correspondence. It just is.”

“Karma is the commerce of actions,” he continues. “Whatever you put out into the universe, you receive back. Built on a modern one drop riddim, the song maintains the familiar vibe of his earlier work, yet it feels more refined and deeply aligned with the core of his message. The track features top-tier collaborators, including Grammy and Juno-nominated producer Bob Riddim, Soke of Banx & Ranx (Multiple Grammy and Juno accolades), and I Sax, a legend in Canadian reggae, who brings soulful saxophone flourishes.

The music video, co-directed by Neto Yuth and longtime collaborator Wayne Smith, was filmed in Waterhouse, Jamaica—Neto Yuth’s childhood neighborhood. Shot with an eye for authenticity and social commentary, the video’s storyline was inspired by a real-life moment they witnessed during pre-production.

“One morning, we were in Waterhouse near the gully where I used to live, just brainstorming locations,” he said. “Then something happened with some youths right there—and that became the seed for the whole storyline. If you watch the video, you’ll understand.”

The production had a community-centered approach: many of the actors featured are locals from Waterhouse. “Every time I shoot a video, I try to give my people an opportunity—to eat a food and shine,” Neto Yuth added.

Just weeks into its release, “Karma” has already caught fire internationally, receiving radio play across France, the UK, Brazil, Costa Rica, Germany, and the Netherlands, with fans reaching out globally to share how deeply the song resonates with them.

“I had a feeling this song was going to do well,” Neto Yuth said. “The message, the riddim, the vibe—it’s all unique.
