Ammoye, born Shernette Amoy Evans in Halse Hall, Jamaica, has become a leading voice in the Canadian reggae and fusion scene since relocating to Toronto as a teenager. Her signature sound, deeply rooted in traditional reggae yet infused with soul, dancehall, and R&B, has earned her national acclaim and positioned her as Canadian reggae\u2019s \u201cNext Big Thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
