{"id":1061,"date":"2021-04-10T11:18:50","date_gmt":"2021-04-10T11:18:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sandbox.reggaenorthca.com\/?p=1061"},"modified":"2021-04-10T18:49:15","modified_gmt":"2021-04-10T18:49:15","slug":"1061-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sandbox.reggaenorthca.com\/?p=1061","title":{"rendered":"Willi Williams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Williams was born in\u00a0Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. <sup id=\"cite_ref-Campbell1502_1-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>He attended\u00a0Trenchtown\u00a0Comprehensive High School, where he was a classmate of\u00a0Sly Dunbar.<sup id=\"cite_ref-2\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>He first recorded at Studio One in the late 1960s, while he was still in school.\u00a0In 1967 he set up the &#8220;Tripletone&#8221;\u00a0sound system\u00a0and in 1969 started his own record label called &#8220;Soul Sounds&#8221;; among the artists he recorded were\u00a0Delroy Wilson, The Versatiles, and Rhythm Force (a pseudonym for\u00a0The Wailers).
