Angela \u201cAngie Goodaz\u201d Ford, a proud Canadian, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of music and media. Born into a family where music wasn\u2019t just a pastime\u2014it was a way of life\u2014Angie\u2019s journey began in the basement with her father, flipping through vinyl records and soaking in the sounds. It continued at parties with uncles and cousins running their own sound systems, embedding rhythm and culture deep into her DNA.<\/p>\n

Her official step into entertainment came in January 2021 as the radiant cohost of \u2018The Mix Up Show\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. More than just a pretty face and charismatic voice, Angie quickly proved she had ideas and vision. She introduced signature segments like the \u2018Mix Up Health Minute\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, producing educational mini videos focusing on community health. But her true impact came through her interviews with Black entrepreneurs\u2014giving them a spotlight to share their stories and missions.<\/p>\n

This grassroots approach to storytelling catapulted \u2018The Mix Up Show\u2019<\/em><\/strong> to the forefront of the community scene, eventually making it the number one media partner for the prestigious TD JerkFest. A standout interview with founder Anthony Plummer earned the team an invitation to go backstage and host podcast-style interviews with the festival\u2019s headliners. For two unforgettable years, Angie sat down with legends such as Marcia Griffiths, Luciano, Baby Cham, Ding Dong, Farmer Nappy, and many more, leaving her mark on the reggae and soca world.<\/p>\n

Her passion didn\u2019t stop there. Angie Goodaz stepped into the role of Canadian Manager for rising Reggae\/Soca artist Miss Diva. This role has taken her across cities, giving her a front-row seat to the inner workings of the music industry and allowing her to support an artist she believes in deeply.<\/p>\n

\"\"After four impactful years, Angie made the difficult decision to leave \u2018The Mix Up Show\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, unsure of what was next. But the calls didn\u2019t stop. Artists and community members urged her to continue being a voice\u2014especially for the up-and-coming generation. That spark lit the flame for her next venture: \u2018The Big and Serious Podcast\u2019<\/em><\/strong>. Airing live every Thursday from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the show is a blend of interviews, real talk, and cultural commentary\u2014giving her listeners something to think about, laugh about, and act on.<\/p>\n

In addition to her podcast, Angie contributes to the \u2018Roots Rock Radio<\/em> show<\/em>\u2019<\/strong> on Montreal\u2019s CKUT 90.3 FM. Every other Monday morning during the 2:00 AM slot, she hosts \u2018Information for the Nation\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, bringing timely insights to a loyal late-night audience.<\/p>\n
