In March, the Atlanta-based Hanson\u2019s Donsome Records released \u2018Gruesome Act Riddim\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, a six-song EP featuring acts such as Anthony B, Turbulence, Mykal Rose, Kiprich and Tommy B Sal.<\/p>\n Each song calls for global peace and decries political dishonesty, with special attention on their homeland of Jamaica.<\/p>\n \u201cI wanted a project that would be a follow-up to my 2009 \u2018Crime Stop Riddim\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, that has \u2018Mama Bawl\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by Gyptian, \u2018Lost Our Way\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by I-Octane, \u2018Famine and Drought\u2019<\/em><\/strong> by I Wayne and \u2018The Summary\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>by Influential. All the tracks tackle the poverty, killing and crime that was out of control in Jamaica,\u201d Hanson explained. \u2018Just like the \u2018Crime Stop Riddim\u2019<\/em><\/strong> that only has four songs, I decided that for this project I just want it to be an EP instead of a full album.\u201d<\/p>\n Artists and songs on the \u2018Gruesome Act Riddim\u2019 are: Mykal Rose (\u2018War Is Not the Answer\u2019<\/em><\/strong>), Kiprich (\u2018No More Crime\u2019)<\/em><\/strong>, Anthony B (\u2018Fly Away Home\u2019<\/em><\/strong>), Turbulence (\u2018We Keep Going\u2019)<\/em><\/strong> and Tommy B Sal (\u2018Nah Vote\u2019<\/em><\/strong>). The closing track is the Gruesome Act Riddim.<\/p>\n Hanson is originally from Clarendon parish in southern Jamaica.
